Safer than kerosene (no flame → no fire). Brighter (children read better). Cheaper (batteries < kerosene). Not grid-connected (autonomous).
Against
Too similar to electricity. If LED — why not bulb? If bulb — why not wire? If wire — why not grid? Slippery slope. LED today → power grid in 20 years.
Decision
As always — depends on community. Progressive: LED in buggy (safety) and workshop (business). In house — no (gas/kerosene). Strict: kerosene only. Everywhere. Forever. Compromise: LED with WARM light (yellow, like kerosene). Cool white — forbidden (too 'electric').
