Dinner
Fried chicken (60 chickens). Mashed potatoes (50 kg). Coleslaw. Bread (40 loaves). Butter (their own). Three kinds of pie. No alcohol.
Evening
Singing (no instruments). Games (not dances — board games). Jokes. Laughter. By 9 PM — guests gone (buggies on dark roads with lanterns). Benjamin and Rebecca stayed. First night — at her parents' home (tradition). Own home — in a month.
