The Amish move at horse speed — 10–15 km/h. That's not a limitation. It's a choice.
Pace
By horse from farm to town — 30 minutes. By car — 5. But in a car you see nothing. From a horse you see: who planted a new orchard, where clover blooms, how the neighbors' kids are growing. You're part of the landscape, not a dot on GPS.
Manual Labor
Mowing with a scythe. Sawing wood by hand. Planing with a hand plane. Not punishment — meditation. Repetitive motions, physical fatigue, visible results. Best therapy for anxiety.
Rhythm
Rise with dawn, work by daylight, sleep at sunset. More sleep in winter, more work in summer. Follow nature, not the alarm clock. The body knows what to do — just stop interfering.
Not for Everyone
Amish pace doesn't fit city or office life. But partial adoption works: walk places, cook by hand, don't rush weekends. One slow evening per week — already a result.
